A prescribed burn will take place in
February 2011.The area to be burned will be from
the Scissortail campgrounds roadway extending
east to Spring Creek Park. At that time,
this portion of the horse trail will be closed.
The picnic table in this area will be replaced
after the burn. Feb. 7-8 or Feb. 14-18 are the
planned dates, depending on weather conditions.

Friends of Arcadia Lake Equestrian
Trails receives $500 grant from the American
Quarter Horse Association and Tractor Supply
Companies!
These funds will be used
to purchase new weather-resistant signage for
the trails system at Arcadia Lake Equestrian
Trails.
New Picnic Tables and Hitching Posts Installed!

Our two new picnic tables
and hitching posts
have been installed at Arcadia Lake Equestrian
Trails. The tables were funded by a $1500 grant through AQHA's STEP
program, funded by Tractor Supply to purchase two picnic tables and
install two hitching posts. The Friends also
recently reapplied for more grant dollars to
install new signage at the Equestrian Trails
from the AQHA's STEP program and funded by
Tractor Supply.
